Naming Words
Naming words are nouns — words that name a person, place, animal or thing. Teacher, Delhi, dog, apple and happiness are all naming words. They tell us who or what a sentence is about.

Some naming words name things you cannot see or touch, like feelings and ideas: love, courage, freedom. These are called abstract nouns.
